High Touch expands distribution center, David Oles joins company as director of distribution services

Technology veteran David Oles has earned respect in the rent-to-own industry as an innovator in technology management. Wichita-based High Touch, Inc., has tapped his talents to expand its Distribution Center outside the rent-to-own markets, according to High Touch CEO Wayne Chambers. “As our client base diversifies, we continue looking for ways to serve their entire spectrum of technology needs from point-of-sale software to hardware procurement and setup to providing outsourced IT services, network security, project management, and web development services,” says Chambers.
Oles background in project management and process development coupled with his expertise in technology made him a natural fit for heading the expansion of the High Touch distribution center. In 2006, Oles was recognized by Computerworld Magazine, the “Voice of IT Management,” as one of the business world’s Premier 100 IT Leaders. Among those honorees, he was selected as one of the top 12 Best in Class. The award honors executives who demonstrate the ability to foster creativity and challenging work environments, envision fresh approaches to business challenges and effectively manage IT investments. Most recently Oles served as Senior Director of IT for Rent-A-Center Financial Services in Plano, Texas.
Relocating to Wichita brings Oles back to the city where he started his IT career nearly 25 years ago with Thorn Americas, Inc. “My wife’s family is from Andover and we are eager to be closer to them,” says Oles. Although Oles official first day at High Touch was Jan. 5, 2009, he is wrapping up a special project at Rent-A-Center and will not be on-site at High Touch for 60 to 90 days.
