DID YOU KNOW?
The name ‘High Touch’ came from the #1 New York Times Bestseller “Megatrends” written by John Naisbitt. “Megatrends” was written based on predictions for tomorrow based on a dynamic analysis of what America is today; and proved to be true in anticipating major shifts for the world.

President/CEO
  • Engineered success strategies for two publicly traded companies
  • Multiple executive roles at $600 million NYSE company
  • 25 years as rent-to-own (RTO) and financial services corporate executive
  • 13 years as rent-to-own (RTO) franchisee

Three decades of experience in finance, operations, marketing, franchising and executive ranks have prepared Wayne Chambers to lead High Touch’s evolution to a technology solution provider. In 2005, responding to a search for a new CEO, Wayne came to High Touch. A native of Southeast Kansas, Wayne is the epitome of a small town guy who made the big city rounds. Thirty years of multi-faceted roles have given him a full aggregate of large-scale corporate finance and management experience. Wayne began his career at a small CPA firm and soon transitioned to the rent-to-own industry as accounting manager for Houston-based RTO dealer with 50 corporate stores and 35 franchise units. Over 13 years’ time he served as executive vice president and managing general partner, simultaneously purchasing and operating a 15-store franchise. Subsequent roles included five years as COO of a 475-unit RTO retailer, and five years as executive vice president of a $600 million financial services company.

With a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Accounting from Wichita State University, Wayne’s education prepared him for a variety of professional ventures. Throughout his career his executive duties have included oversight in the areas of financial planning, risk management, treasury, internal auditing, human resources, real estate construction, and legal/litigation. As with many chief executives, Wayne also routinely has taken on tactical roles as needed.

Tackling monumental tasks is a forte of Wayne’s, and his management practices often lead to increased profitability. As is often the case, businesses on the upside of the growth curve are often pursued by larger companies, and Wayne has found himself on both sides of the acquisition table. It’s more than coincidental that three companies under his leadership eventually were courted and acquired, and two became publicly traded. His experiences took him to Texas, New Mexico, and South Carolina, but he eventually made his way back to his native Kansas, putting his talents to work for a Wichita-based company.

Wayne’s ability to adapt and succeed is proven. His mantra of personal responsibility makes him the ideal leader to help High Touch keep pace with the seismic shifts of the technology industry.

“The opportunity is in being customer-centric. We may be designing software or writing code. It’s not about the code, it’s about the customer.”
